Social analysis is a dynamic process in which social screens are continually assessed to reflect changes in shareholder concerns, emerging social issues, the availability of new research, and social and environmental factors that may affect financial returns. Calvert's internal Social Research Department is made up of a team of experts in labor relations, environmental sustainability,military and defense issues, international human rights, animal welfare, and community banking practices. Calvert examines corporate performance in six broad areas of concerns.
