Important Performance Disclosure

The Class A shares of the Everest Fund of Summit Mutual Funds, Inc. were reorganized into the Class A shares of Calvert Large Cap Value Fund, which commenced operations on 12/12/08.  Performance results for Class A shares of Calvert Large Cap Value Fund prior to 12/12/08 reflect the performance of Class A shares of the Everest Fund since their inception on 12/29/99.
 
The Social Responsibility Portfolio of Bridgeway Fund, Inc. ("Bridgeway") was reorganized into the Class I Shares of the Calvert Large Cap Growth Fund, which commenced operations on October 31, 2000. Performance results for Class A shares of Calvert Large Cap Growth Fund prior to October 31, 2000 reflect the performance of Class I, i.e., Bridgeway, for that period, but have been adjusted to reflect the Class A sales charges.
 

Important Expense Disclosure

Calvert has agreed contractually to limit direct net annual operating expenses for Calvert Global Alternative Energy Fund through January 31, 2011. This limitation does not limit the acquired fund fees and expenses incurred by a shareholder. Direct ordinary operating expenses for the Fund will not exceed 1.85% for Class A shares and 2.85% for Class C shares of the Fund. Only the Board of Directors of the Fund may terminate the Fund's expense cap before the contractual period expires. Under the terms of the contractual expense limitation, operating expenses do not include interest expense, brokerage commissions, extraordinary expenses and taxes.

This limitation does not limit the acquired fund fees and expenses incurred by a shareholder. Direct net operating expenses for the Fund will not exceed 1.85% for Class A shares, 2.85% for Class C shares, and 1.60% for Class Y Shares of the Fund. Only the Board of Directors of the Fund may terminate the Fund’s expense cap before the contractual period expires. Under the terms of the contractual expense limitation, operating expenses do not include interest expense, brokerage commissions, extraordinary expenses and taxes.
 
Calvert has agreed contractually to limit direct net annual operating expenses for Calvert International Opportunities Fund through January 31, 2011. This limitation does not limit the acquired fund fees and expenses incurred by a shareholder. Direct net operating expenses will not exceed 1.66% for Class A shares, 2.50% for Class C shares, and 1.41% for Class Y shares of the Fund. Only the Board of Directors of the Fund may terminate the Fund's expense cap before the contractual period expires. Under the terms of the contractual expense limitation, operating expenses do not include interest expense, brokerage commissions, extraordinary expenses and taxes.
 
Calvert has agreed contractually to limit direct net annual operating expenses for Calvert Large Cap Growth Fund through January 31, 2011. This limitation does not limit the acquired fund fees and expenses incurred by a shareholder. Direct net operating expenses will not exceed 1.50% for Class A shares, 2.50% for Class B shares, 2.50% for Class C shares, and 1.25% for Class Y shares of the Fund. Only the Board of Directors of the Fund may terminate the Fund's expense cap before the contractual period expires. Under the terms of the contractual expense limitation, operating expenses do not include interest expense, brokerage commissions, extraordinary expenses and taxes. The contractual expense cap is exclusive of any performance fee adjustments.
 
Calvert has agreed contractually to limit direct net annual operating expenses for Calvert Large Cap Value Fund through January 31, 2011. This limitation does not limit the acquired fund fees and expenses incurred by a shareholder. Direct net operating expenses will not exceed 1.23% for Class A shares, 2.35% for Class C shares, and 0.98% for Class Y shares of the Fund. Under the terms of the contractual expense limitation, operating expenses do not include interest expense, brokerage commissions, extraordinary expenses and taxes. The Board of Trustees of the Fund may terminate the Fund's expense cap only for the contractual period after December 12, 2010.
 
Calvert has agreed contractually to limit direct net annual operating expenses for Calvert Mid Cap Value Fund through January 31, 2011. Direct net operating expenses will not exceed 1.59% for Class A shares and 2.59% for Class C shares of the Fund. Only the Board of Trustees of the Fund may terminate the Fund's expense cap before the contractual period expires. Under the terms of the contractual expense limitation, operating expenses do not include interest expense, brokerage commissions, extraordinary expenses and taxes.
 
Calvert has agreed contractually to limit direct net annual operating expenses for Calvert Small Cap Value Fund through January 31, 2011. Direct net operating expenses will not exceed 1.69% for Class A shares and 2.69% for Class C shares of the Fund. Only the Board of Trustees of the Fund may terminate the Fund’s expense cap before the contractual period expires. Under the terms of the contractual expense limitation, operating expenses do not include interest expense, brokerage commissions, extraordinary expenses and taxes.
 
Calvert has agreed contractually to limit direct net annual operating expenses for Calvert Social Index Fund through January 31, 2011. Direct net operating expenses will not exceed 0.75% for Class A shares, 1.75% for Class B shares and 1.75% for Class C shares of the Fund. Only the Board of Trustees of the Fund may terminate the Fund’s expense cap before the contractual period expires. Under the terms of the contractual expense limitation, operating expenses do not include interest expense, brokerage commissions, extraordinary expenses and taxes.
 
Management fees include the advisory fee paid by the Fund to the Advisor, and the administrative fee paid by the Fund to Calvert Administrative Services Company, an affiliate of the Advisor.
 
Net expense ratio reflects contractual fee waiver and/or expense reimbursement through April 30, 2011.
