Barbara J. Krumsiek is Chair, CEO and President of Calvert Investments, Inc., a leading investment management firm headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. Calvert manages approximately $13 billion in assets including a range of fixed income portfolios and a full family of sustainable and responsible equity mutual funds. Ms. Krumsiek is Director and Chair of Acacia Life Insurance Company. Calvert and Acacia Life are affiliates of UNIFI, a mutual holding company based in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Ms. Krumsiek’s career in the investment industry spans over three decades. Before becoming Calvert’s CEO in 1997, she was Managing Director at Alliance Capital Management L.P. in New York, and was responsible for mutual fund and variable insurance product lines worth over $17 billion in assets.

At Calvert, she has presided over a period of growth and increased visibility both within the sustainable investment sector and in the financial services industry as a whole. Calvert's presence among individual investors, financial advisors and retirement plans has expanded substantially.

During her tenure, Ms. Krumsiek has been a steadfast advocate for issues relating to the advancement of women. In 2004, the Calvert Women’s Principles (CWP) were launched, marking the first global code of corporate conduct focusing exclusively on empowering, advancing, and investing in women worldwide. The Principles became the basis for an initiative of the City of San Francisco Department on the Status of Women called the Gender Equality Principles (GEP). In 2010, Ms. Krumsiek was presented with the CEDAW Women’s Human Rights Award recognizing Calvert’s contribution to the GEP initiative.

This year, Ms. Krumsiek is leading the discourse within the global investment community on the links between sustainability and financial performance. She is Co-Chair of the United Nations Environment Programme - Finance Initiative. (UNEP – FI), a partnership between the United Nations Environment Programme and 200 financial institutions around the globe mandated to develop and promote the links between sustainability and financial performance.

Barbara Krumsiek is an active member of the local D.C. business community serving on the Board of Pepco Holdings, Inc. She was named one of the “Influential Marylanders for 2010” by the Daily Record and in 2009, was inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame and was ranked among the “100 Most Powerful Women in Washington” by Washingtonian Magazine. Among her peers in the financial services, she was listed as one of the “25 Most Influential People In and Around the Independent Advice Business,” by Investment Advisor Magazine and among the “Top 50 Influential Women in Wealth Management,” by Wealth Management Magazine.

Ms. Krumsiek believes strongly in devoting time to community service. She is Chair of the Board of the Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation and serves on the executive committee of the Federal City Council. She also serves on the Board of the Girl Scouts USA. She is a former Chair of The Greater Washington Board of Trade.

Graduating Phi Beta Kappa with honors from Douglass College, Rutgers University, Ms. Krumsiek received a Bachelor's degree in mathematics. She received a Master's degree in mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. In 2000, the Rutgers University Alumni Federation added her to the Hall of Distinguished Alumni, and in that same year, Douglass College and the Associate Alumnae named her to The Douglass Society. In May 2002, Georgetown University awarded Ms. Krumsiek the Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa, citing her work in advancing the critical dialogue regarding the role of business in society.

Ms. Krumsiek, a native New Yorker, resides in Washington, DC with her husband, Bart Leonard, and their two daughters.

Ms. Becker reports directly to the fund boards and is responsible for developing and administering the funds' policies and procedures which are designed to prevent violation of federal securities laws. She has been with Calvert sice 1986. Prior to assuming this role, she was Senior Vice President of Calvert Client Services and served as the Anti-Money Laundering Officer for Calvert. During her early years at Calvert she managed the day-to-day processing of work within the transfer agent and in 1988 she took over as head of the telephone-servicing group. In the mid 1990s she was part of the conversion team that outsourced the transfer agent function to DST/BFDS in Kansas City and in her role as SVP Client Services had daily oversight for the outside transfer agent function. Drawing on her industry knowledge and her strength for processing efficiencies, Ms. Becker led Calvert's inter-functional team that launched the 529 Plan for the District of Columbia in 2002. She has been an active member of the ICI Operations and Transfer Agent Committees and is now a member of the ICI's Compliance Committee, the National Society of Compliance Professionals, in addition to serving on the FINRA Series 6 and 26 exam review committee. She earned a B.A. in Government and Economics from St. Lawrence University in Canton New York and has her Series 7 and 24 securities licenses.

Craig Cloyed
President, Calvert Investment Distributors, Inc.

Mr. Cloyed is President of Calvert Investment Distributors, Inc. overseeing both the retail and institutional sales forces at Calvert. Since he joined Calvert in February 1998, Calvert consistently ranks among the top 50 wholesale fund complexes for net sales as tracked by FRC. Prior to joining Calvert, he was President of Berger Distributors, Inc. and Chief Marketing Officer for Berger Associates, Inc., where he oversaw the sales and marketing to all distribution channels. Before Berger, he spent six years as Director of the Institutional Division and global partner for Invesco Funds Group where he founded and grew the institutional group to $6 billion in assets, in addition to establishing various sales groups and internal infrastructure.

In total, Mr. Cloyed has more than 37 years of sales and marketing experience in the financial services industry.  He started his career as an Institutional Sales Person for the Hartford Group and then joined Aetna to manage their Western Region Institutional Sales Office.  Mr. Cloyed was General Partner, Chief Marketing Officer for 10 years at Boettler a NYSE member firm.  Afterwards, he spent two years with Private Ledger as Executive Vice President.  He holds a B.A. degree in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Iowa.
 

Bennett Freeman
Senior Vice President, Sustainability Research and Policy, Calvert Investments
Mr. Freeman leads Calvert's Sustainability Research Department and oversees its company research and analysis as well as its policy and advocacy work. From 2003 until early 2006, he led Burson-Marsteller's Global Corporate Responsibility practice advising multinationals on policy development, stakeholder engagement and communications strategies related to human rights, labor rights and sustainable development. During the Clinton Administration he served in three positions as a presidential appointee in the State Department, most recently as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor from 1999 to early 2001. In that capacity, he led the development of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights, the first human rights standard forged by governments, companies and NGOs for the extractive sectors. Earlier in his career he was Manager-Corporate Affairs for General Electric and a presidential campaign aide to former Vice President Walter Mondale. Mr. Freeman serves on the Boards of Oxfam America, the Institute for Business and Human Rights, the Revenue Watch Institute, the Global Network Initiative (GNI), the Genocide Intervention Network  and EG Justice.  From 2006-09 he served on the Board of the Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI) representing Oxfam.  He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations as well as a frequent speaker and media commentator on sustainable investment, corporate responsibility, human rights and U.S. foreign policy.  Mr. Freeman received an MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford, where he studied as an English Speaking Union Churchill Scholar at Balliol College, and an AB in History from the University of California at Berkeley.

Ms. Le Vaca is responsible for the external and internal communications for Calvert and serves as the firm's primary contact with the media. She leads the public relations team in the development and execution of the firm's promotional efforts, ensuring its alignment with the marketing and sales goals. After joining the firm in 1991, she moved up the ranks within the organization gaining knowledge and expertise in mutual fund marketing and communications. Ms. Le Vaca is a 2009 Leadership Montgomery class member. She serves on the Public Information Committee of the Investment Company Institute and is a member of Washington Women in Public Relations and the Public Relations Society of America. She also serves on the Board of Bethesda Green, a community based non-profit organization promoting environmentally friendly living. Ms. LeVaca received her BS in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. 

Lee Nienaber, Vice President, Information Technology Lee Nienaber

Mr. Nienaber oversees the strategic development and implementation of Calvert's technology initiatives.  Since 1988, Mr. Nienaber has led Calvert's Information Technology group in supporting the company's mission-critical operations through the deployment of leading technology solutions.  He also manages the company's Business Continuity Planning efforts, working to develop the technology and procedural infrastructure that will allow Calvert to continue mission-critical operations during events which threaten normal business operations.  In his role, Mr. Nienaber is also responsible for the design and coordination of network and operational security procedures intended to safeguard Calvert's critical corporate and shareholder information.  Since 1982, he has worked  in the information technology field, designing technology-based solutions for challenging business operations.  Mr. Nienaber holds a B.S. in Information Systems from Fordham University and an M.S. in Information Technology from The George Washington University. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic.

Cathy Roy, Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income Catherine Palmer Roy, CFA

Ms. Roy is responsible for evaluating and monitoring the investment performance and risk profiles of all Calvert fixed income Funds.  She has worked in the financial services industry since 1981. Prior to joining Calvert in 2004, she was Head of U.S. Fixed Income and Senior Portfolio Manager at Baring Asset Management where she was responsible for managing the U.S. fixed income team. Her responsibilities included investment oversight of U.S. fixed income portfolios, serving as U.S. specialist for global fixed income policy, and chairing the Core Plus Fixed Income Strategy Team. Prior to that, Ms. Roy served in various Portfolio roles including a position as Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Scudder Kemper Investments where she managed $11 billion in fixed income assets for insurance companies and also as Chief Investment Officer at Massachusetts insurer, SBLI. Ms. Roy holds a B.A. from Barnard College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Reginald Stanley, Chief Marketing OfficerReginald Stanley

Mr. Stanley has led Calvert's marketing and product development initiatives since 2000. Mr. Stanley has has worked since 1987 in investment, economic development and entrepreneurial businesses. Prior to Calvert he served as President of Boston Community Managed Assets and Chief Operating Officer of its CDFI holding company, Boston Community Capital (BCC). He joined BCC after spending seven years and holding several leadership positions at Fidelity Investments, including Vice President of High Net Worth Marketing, Customer Development and E-Commerce. He has worked at the consulting firms of Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company, as well as served on several community and non-profit boards aimed at civil justice, economic development, and quality of life issues. His current board affiliations include: The Social Investment Forum, GLAD, and the Calvert Foundation.  Mr. Stanley is a fellow of the Southern Africa/United States Center for Leadership and Public Values.  He earned his MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with honors with a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Alison SmithAlison Smith

Ms. Smith is responsible for oversight and coordination of vendor relationships by monitoring the activities of Calvert's primary service vendors to ensure that accuracy, timeliness in service, and the highest level of customer service are provided to shareholders and brokers. She is also responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements by maintaining the Customer Identification Program, NASD Continuing Education requirements, and serves Calvert's Anti-Money Laundering Officer. Ms. Smith earned a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland and is FINRA Series 7 and 24 licensed. She joined Calvert in 1985. 

Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel William M. Tartikoff

Prior to joining Calvert in January 1990, he was Vice President and Associate Counsel for T. Rowe Price Associates. Mr. Tartikoff was Assistant Counsel for the Investment Company Institute from 1977 to 1982 and with the Internal Revenue Service, Employee Plans, and Exempt Organizations Branch from 1972 to 1977. He is a graduate of the American University (BBA 1969, JD 1972) and received a LLM (Taxation) from Georgetown University. He is FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licensed. Mr. Tartikoff authored "Treatment of Mutual Funds under ERISA," Duke Law Journal (Vol. 1979, No. 2) and is a frequent speaker on mutual funds and other related matters. He served as a former Director for ICI Mutual Insurance Company and served on the Board (former Chair) of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, and on the Board of Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, including two years as its Finance Committee Chair. Mr. Tartikoff is also the former Chair of the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington. Mr. Tartikoff is a member of the Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia and American Bar Associations. He also serves on several Investment Company Institute Committees, including the SEC Rules Committee.

Kathy TorrenceKathy Torrence
Vice President, Corporate Sustainability and Community Partnerships, Calvert Investments
Ms. Torrence serves as Vice President of Corporate Sustainability and Community Partnerships and is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable employment practices, improving Calvert's position in corporate social responsibility and overseeing Calvert's Human Resource function. Since 1982, Ms. Torrence has worked in human resources, which includes community involvement and corporate social responsibility. She has served the community on several college and university committees and volunteer boards. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and World at Work, a volunteer and former board member with the Shepherd’s Table, and a board member with Greater DC Cares and Bethesda Cares.

 

Natalie TrunowNatalie Trunow

Ms. Trunow is Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Equities and is responsible for leading, managing, and proactively evaluating and monitoring the investment performance and risk/reward characteristics of Calvert's sub-advised equity, balanced, and asset allocation products. She also leads the firm’s in-house equity management, new product development and implementation. Since 1985,  Ms. Trunow has worked in global financial markets. Prior to joining Calvert in 2008, Ms. Trunow was a Section Head and a Portfolio Manager in the global markets group at General Motors Asset Management in New York where she developed and managed successful in-house investment strategies in global alternatives and domestic small cap as well as alpha-generating, style-balanced funds of funds of institutional money managers. Earlier in her career, Ms. Trunow consulted with the New York law firm of Owen & Davis and Price Waterhouse in New York. She graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from NYU and holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.

Mr. Wolfsheimer has been with Calvert since 1979. Prior to joining Calvert, Mr. Wolfsheimer was an audit senior with Alexander Grant & Co. and prior thereto was on the audit staff of Arthur Andersen & Co.  He is Treasurer of each of the Calvert Funds and is FINRA Series 7 and 27 licensed.  Mr. Wolfsheimer received his MS in Management with a concentration on Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland University College after graduating from Indiana University with honors where he earned his BS in Accounting. Mr. Wolfsheimer is a member of the Investment Company Institute's Accounting/Treasurer's Committee and was a member of the industry team that developed the white paper on accounting for multiple classes of shares. He has been a frequent speaker on various topics including audit committees as well as tax, accounting, and operational issues facing mutual funds and their advisors.  He has served on the Board of Imagination Stage and currently serves on the Boards of Leadership Montgomery, Montgomery Hospice, and the Arts of and Humanities Council of Montgomery County (former Chair).

Stan YoungStan Young
Vice President, Client Services, Calvert Investments
Mr. Young is responsible for the day-to-day management of the client/intermediary call service center and Distribution & Marketing support to ensure that the highest level of customer service is provided to shareholders and brokers. He is responsible for establishing a strong regulatory framework in which procedures and conduct are evaluated to comply with FINRA and SEC rules and regulations. Mr. Young has been with Calvert ince 1983, during which time he also supervised the Broker Operations Department. Mr. Young received his BA in Biology & Psychology from George Mason University. He is FINRA Series 7 and 24, and Insurance and Annuity licensed.
